At the end of every journey, we find ourselves. I asked for my eyes to be opened, and my wish was granted. However, we cannot foresee the impact of a wish. An epiphany arrived. One of the most profound in the last four years. Perhaps in my entire life, because it took all my years to form. It stopped me right in my tracks as I prepared for the next chapter of my life.
Money isn’t real, it’s a concept.
Stay with me please. As human beings. Biological, chemical and spiritual beings. We do not need money to survive. We need food, shelter, health, creativity, community to survive and have good lives. Money however, is a concept created by society. So deeply ingrained in us, it seems like it’s a part of our genetic makeup. I wondered if I was crazy, but I take respite in the fact it has been spoken by many before me and will be spoken by many after me.
We need to change the system. A True Life is Eden. We are all lucky to be here, yet the person who is full of joy and love for life is a rare crazy. We have been taught, and so deeply conditioned, we don’t even know who we really are. All our lives, our identity is controlled by money.
An artist becomes an accountant to survive. Yet, he can barely pay his rent. We burn forests down to grow food to sell, that we eventually throw in the bin. While people starve.
We do not have the right to live, unless we make money. How dare we allow this.
It is the duty of every person to move humanity forward. No matter how small or large the act. In a sense, I’ve been fighting the system the whole time. By dropping out of college, by starting companies instead of jobs. By living in multiple countries, by protecting my humanity, love and integrity. We cannot waste our precious lives under the spell cast by ghosts and the misguided.
Time to wake up, and create a new way of doing things.
That begins with us having conversations, and realising we are the only ones that can change things.
We Have The Power to.
Welcome to Humanity.
