Inches away from my feet

I do worry when I go a few days without mesmerising at the awe of Nature
The glue that binds it all
I was walking along a motorway as cars sped past me inches away from my feet
Whilst I spoke to myself and the trees and stopped to take a closer look at the cobweb design
And the black and brown horses in the field that I sometimes
Hear making that noise horses make late at dark
With the pace I walked if you saw me you would think I was going somewhere
But no
I just wanted to walk as far as I could
My energy was full to the brim, it leaked through the strands of my hair
And the long summer days in June only
Invite me to dine with her like a seductive sunset
There was black aimless cat, just as curious as me perhaps
And I sat down to look her in the eyes, and kiss some unspoken, acknowledging it is also alive
She looked at me with a question mark, as I sat there on the side of the motorway
Not approaching it, sat still by the side of the road
as cars sped past me inches away from my feet
