Over the last few months I’ve spoken to a variety of people about TAC. Technically it would be classified as a startup but realistically, thats just the best way to give the world something it needs. Which leads me to an important lesson.
These days, many people hate big companies, understandably so. But as we work on TAC, for us to actually help the world in the way it needs to be helped. Thinking infrastructure in eduction, business, institutions. It would need to be a company. Because that is how the world is set up.
The other day I landed in Portugal with my mum for a wedding. We stood in a crowd of around 50 people in the pickup spot. I picked up my phone, and called a taxi. In a matter of minutes. A Tesla arrived and took us to our hotel.
We checked in, easily, not a cent of paper money was spent. A frictionless transition from my house in Ireland to a hotel in Porto.
See, we take these things for granted. But from my house to the hotel in Portugal about 5-6 companies were used. That without them, the whole trip would have been impossible or unaffordable.
I think what we dislike isn’t the companies, what we dislike is the financial systems in place that reward massive innovations.
Which is one of the ways TAC was born. We didn’t look at the symptoms. Wars, waste, polarisation, mental health crises, lack of meaning.
We looked at the cause.
Lack of thinking infrastructure.
