Power

With great power comes great responsibility. One of the things we are now realising is how powerful human innovation is. Because we are prone to underestimate the nature of life and ourselves, we sometimes underestimate the responsibility we all possess to use our powers wisely. When we are at our best, at harmony with the universe. We are using whatever power we have for good.

Modern technology is a great example of this. We have instant global communication. We have visual creations that are transferred by light signals in cables underneath the ocean that are pulled in from all around the world and reformed as a moving image in your computer. We have food brought to us. Of any kind we could possibly imagine. We have hospitals that are built for the good of the health of people. We have all of history. We have science. It is endless of course.

These gifts are mostly neutral powers. Power is best defined as “Ability’. The ability to do something. It is not a negative thing in itself. Your legs give you the power to walk, electricity gives us the power to see, time gives us the power to move things forward.

Humans are interesting and special because we have free will, within the laws of nature. To use these powers as we wish.
